SUMMER BIO A Rez Kat from Walpole Island First Nations, Summer is an artist of many trades. Being trained in Fashion Design, Professional Makeup, Photography, and Digital Art, she has had the privilege of working with Roger's Television, Slice, Comedy Network, L'Oreal Fashion Week, National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation, I-Tunes, and Eye Weekly. Winning a national competition in the 2010 L’Oreal Color Trophy for Best in Makeup, she has also been the makeup artist for the winning collections for the Contessa Awards Ontario Stylist of the Year ’08, 2nd place for national L’Oreal’s Colour Trophy ’10, plus Gold for Ontario Regional category, and a finalist collection for the Contessa Awards Apprentice Stylist of the Year ’09 in which she also did the photography. An active member in the arts community, Summer has presently been featured in several art exhibits, including this year’s Artist Project ’10, Nuit Blanche’09, the Artist Project’09, Contact’09 for Launch Projects at TSA Gallery, First Nation Art ’09 Woodland Cultural Centre, and the Riverdale’09 Art Walk.
